Exhaust Air Heat Pumps (EAHP)
HEATING · HOT WATER · VENTILATION
One coordinated system. Designed around the home.
Explore exhaust air heat pumps with RBSi — from early apartment layouts to equipment selection and commissioning support.
What is an exhaust air heat pump?
An exhaust air heat pump (EAHP) recovers energy from air extracted from the building and uses it for heating and hot water. It combines these duties with mechanical extract ventilation. The fresh-air route and available heat output depend on the system selected.

COMPACT APARTMENT HEATING
EVAir F30

Heating, hot water and ventilation together
The F30 brings space heating, domestic hot water production and continuous mechanical extract ventilation into one coordinated system. It is designed for new-build apartment applications where equipment selection and the ventilation layout need to work together.
- Exhaust air-to-water heat pump technology.
- Integrated approach to heating and mechanical extract ventilation.
- A compact heat pump module for a planned indoor installation.
RBSi can help assess the heat loss, hot water arrangement, emitters and duct routes before equipment is specified.

R290 · INVERTER · FLEXIBLE AIRFLOW
EVAir F50

A flexible approach to apartment services
The F50 uses an inverter compressor and R290 refrigerant, combining space heating, domestic hot water and mechanical extract ventilation. Its operating options include mixed-airflow and dedicated exhaust-air arrangements, with the final configuration selected for the project.
- Designed for apartments and residential developments.
- Variable-speed fans and managed airflow.
- Flexible source-air arrangements to suit the specified application.
- Heating, ventilation and hot water duties reviewed as one system.
We assess the required output at your design conditions, available air paths, acoustic needs and service access. Model selection is based on the complete building duty.

Start with the building, then select the system
A good EAHP design brings heat loss, ventilation and hot water demand together. RBSi can help review:
- Heating demand: room heat losses, emitter sizing and required water temperature.
- Airflow: wet-room extraction, fresh-air provision, any additional source-air path and duct routes.
- Hot water: occupancy, storage needs and recovery demand.
- Installation: cupboard space, access, acoustics, electrical supply and condensate drainage.
- Performance: output at the proposed duty and any requirement for supplementary heating.
Planning an apartment development?
Send floor plans, dwelling types, occupancy, fabric details and any heat loss or ventilation calculations. We can agree the design scope and help coordinate a practical equipment proposal with your project team.

Is an EAHP suitable for every property?
Selection depends on building demand and the complete air and water system. RBSi will review the project information before recommending equipment.
Can RBSi help with an existing system?
Send the model, serial number, symptoms and any displayed fault code. We will advise on the appropriate technical support route.
